Program Details

Our full day play-based Kindergarten class meets 5 days a week, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.

The kindergarten classroom shares many of the same daily routines as our preschool program, helping children feel comfortable and confident as they grow. In addition, the day includes time for individual and small-group instruction where children develop phonological and phonemic awareness skills and build strong number sense.

A strong emphasis is also placed on social-emotional learning as children practice cooperation, communication, and problem-solving with their peers.

Morning snack is provided during the school day, and children bring their lunch from home each day, with optional pizza available on Fridays.

Kindergarteners will also have movement and/or outdoor play several times during their school day. Specials such as art, music, gym, and spanish are part of their school day. Because our kindergarteners are in school for a longer day, a midday rest time/quiet time is also included in their daily schedule. Like our preschool program, classroom experiences are presented in a play based environment and include both child and teacher initiated experiences.

Enrollment

Kindergarten Enrollment begins in October.

Children must turn 5 by December 31 of the year they begin Kindergarten to enroll.

Class is limited to 14 students
