Admissions Policy and Scholarships
First United Methodist Nursery School welcomes all families. We affirm a policy of non-discrimination in the admission of children. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, national origin, mental or physical disability. An attempt is made to balance gender ratio in classrooms whenever possible.
We enroll three and four year olds in half day programs that are in session from September- May. Children must turn three by Dec. 31st. of the year they begin attending class in order to enroll.
We enroll a maximum of 19 children in each classroom; and staff our classrooms with three teachers to maintain a comfortable 6:1 ratio.
Scholarship applications and payment plans are available upon request to families in need of financial assistance. Families should contact the Director. All applications for scholarships are kept confidential.
Enrollment Process

Open House sessions are scheduled throughout October.
These 60 min. sessions include an overview of the program and curriculum, a question and answer session, and a tour of the school while classes are in session. These are parent only sessions; children will be invited back to the school at a later date for a parent/child play date.
Registration begins in November for the following September school year.
Returning siblings and FUMC members have early registration privileges during October.
New families complete an enrollment form after their Open House or tour. A nonrefundable deposit, the first installment of their child's tuition, is due with the enrollment form to secure a place on our September roster. Scholarship and payment plan information is available upon request.
If enrollment requests exceed availability, a lottery is held in November.
Individual tours and registration continues throughout the year for interested families.
